Although CollegeSpring is an established education nonprofit, a huge pivot the last two years created a startup environment. I onboarded and immediately began an aggressive 8-month product launch cycle - for 3 products at once. I own roadmapping, product strategy, cross-functional alignment, product cycle, technical documentation, systems integrations, product messaging (and more!) -- so that we can build a great product that delights teachers and actually helps students grow.

Product Cycle
Established product cycle (including roles and deliverables at each stage) for new ideas at org, designed flow chart, and communicated to leadership team + entire org. Agile Trainings
Trained product team to move to scrum, presented trainings to build org understanding prior to formal education. Designed presentations for team and org. Student Reports
Designed layout of custom student reports and spearheaded project to build automated report into user interface for seamless info to end users. Product Build Style Guide
Decided colors, fonts, sizing, and graphics for product build in LMS, providing developers with iconography, formatting, and detailed style guide to ensure consistency. Product Messaging
To align sales, marketing, communication, and development departments, designed talking points graphic + other collateral to assist each team. |
Promotional Videos
While marketing position was being filled, created all promotional materials including 4 videos to support sales sequence. Roadmap
Established formal product management processes (no TPM before my position), creating sophisticated roadmaps and details JTBD/backlog with more than 300 items spec'd at epic, feature, and subfeature level. Opened ongoing communication channels to share roadmap with all stakeholders. Admin Reports
After consulting with cross functional teams and end users, designed layout for admin reports to provide actionable insight, then worked with contractor to build triggered reports. Technical Documentation
For OneRoster and Single Sign-On, wrote all technical documentation and supported partner onboarding. Ideation Research
Leading product cycle process, performed market analysis and research to create industry analysis, discuss strategic alignment with C-suite leadership, calculate TAM, and determine pass/fail gate for new product idea. |
